Having recently seen the enlargement and refurbishment of several of its major shops including Sainsburys, Boots and the Westgate Department Store, Hoddesdon is currently undergoing the largest re-development programme in more than fifty years. £25m is currently being spent on the Tower Centre Shopping Arcade to create larger retail units and new restaurant facilities; while the building of the final phase of the Fawkon Walk precinct will provide a two storey Health Centre with an underground car park, plus new shops units with flats above.
